Favorite Freebie Linky Party

During my morning blog stalk visits I found a fantastic linky party.  Thank you Cynthia over at 2nd Grade Pad for hosting.

Everyone LOVES  a freebie.....so she has asked each teacher to link up their favorite freebie and share it with others.  Great idea!!  Stop by her blog and see everyone's favorite freebie.

I think my favorite right now is my Fable Unit, mainly because I just finished it and there are a lot of different activities.
If you visit my TPT store, you'll notice they are all free right now, so please get what you can use or need.  I just ask that you leave sweet feedback and follow my blog if you find something that you can use.  :))

Happy Monday!

LOTS of {FREEBIES} on this FRIDAY

Hi Sweet Friends!  My big baby is turning 16 this weekend, so I'm here to give little gifts to celebrate.  Yay!!  You know that I'm going to share a few pics of him before you get your {freebies}. Okay, it's time for {freebies} or I'm going to cry.   { Freebie #1 } This is a center activity that integrates reading and math.  I've included 60 of the first sight words that are introduced in Texas Journey's basal.  The students will be reading these words and writing addition sentences to match.  They are also on the lookout for DOUBLES, because in this game DOUBLES are worth more.  You can pick this up at my TPT store. { FREEBIE #2 ) This is a math center activity to help the kids recognize the addend to create the double addition sentence.  They must be the first to fill their backpack with each school supply (addend). I've also included blank game boards and supply cards.  This gives the kids the oppo...

Getting Things Ready for the BTS

I'm sure you can picture my cabinets at the house and I'm positive that I would drive some of you crazy but my sweet family has learned to LOVE it....I think.  Josh doesn't even ask me anymore if I want him to save....this or that, he just washes the container and puts it away for me.  He's pretty great.  If you read my last post then you know that I bought WHITE enamel paint on accident. Well, I decided to use it on some of my jars in the cabinet. I needed another (yes another) place to keep writing utensils.  I'm a teacher....we love all the writing things. ;-) This paint was perfect for the jars.  I love how the color turned out.  I cut up some old fabric for the ribbon around the top. A circular sponge made the just right polka dots and I taped off one of the jars and used chalkboard spray paint to cover the bottom. Yes, that's glitter on my workbench.  Every girl needs glitter all over her workbench, right?! The writing is v...

Financial Literacy in the Classroom

There never seems to be enough time to teach coins and financial literacy in the classroom.  I'm not sure about your kids but my kids seem to struggle with actually adding the coins.  They just needed some motivation......and a job.  We started this fun lesson with a job fair.   I introduced the jobs that they could apply for and then allowed them time to walk around discuss what they were interested in.   Once they decided on jobs that they wanted they filled out an application. Then it was my turn to go through the applications and decide on who to hire for the job.   I LOVED going through these and reading why I should hire them for the job. They were so motivated and excited to start working and earning their money. I created a pay schedule for the week and it made my teacher heart happy when they showed up more excited each day saying "it's nickel day" or "I'm so excited that it's dime day". Oh an...
