Is it REALLY over??

Ohhh Spring Break........please don't GO!  I've enjoyed my time with you.  I cannot believe that tomorrow at 5:00 a.m.I will be getting up and ready for school.  Yes, I am concerned that it is after 9 p.m. and I am just now sitting down to blog....I'm still in Spring Break mode.  I do LOVE my breaks.  I LOVE the time I get to spend with my family and I LOVE getting excited all over again about being in the classroom.

We spent the 2nd half of our week in Texarkana watching the USPCA Region 20 K9 trials.  My sweet husband is one of the judges and loves being around the dogs.  I couldn't wait to get down there to see him.....oh and the dogs.  No, really I LOVE watching the dogs work.  I think they are so stinkin' cute!

We are apart of an organization that helps retired police dogs, 10-7 K9.  You can visit the facebook page {click here} to see more pictures from the trial.

While we were at the trials I got this ReAlLy cool foot tan.......
Thank goodness I was wearing jeans.  It was so nice out, I had no idea I was roasting my poor feet.  Yes, it hurts.  Aloe Vera is my new favorite lotion.  This will be a great show and tell for school tomorrow and we can discuss the importance of wearing sunscreen.

We spent time watching my Big Sweetie play some baseball.  Oh how I LOVE to watch him play.

and
My Little Sweetie and I enjoyed some ice cream outside.  The weather was AMAZING!

That's it!!  We have come to an end, now let the countdown begin to summer.

Behavior that Makes Cents!

I've decided for this next school year to implement $$ into my behavior clip chart.  Our school has certain colors and points that they want us to use and deduct from each child's conduct grade based on the child's color/conduct clip.  So each year I jazz up my color chart BUT this year I'm implementing Coins.......get it???!!!  Behavior that Makes Cents!!  Okay.......this is how it will work in my classroom.  Each day the students will stamp their behavior calendar with a coin stamp based on our color chart.  For example, black will be used for a quarter because black is considered exceptional behavior throughout the day. They will use a green stamp for dimes, yellow stamp for nickels, and a red stamp for a penny.  Although, I rarely have color changes, I truly feel like this will motivate them to not only KNOW their coins but be able to add them up.  They will NEED to know how much they have in order to spend their money on Friday.   ...

Made It Monday

Well, I think I have completely settled into my summer.  I know this because once I get settled I start summer crafting, pinning, and looking forward to Stop by 4th Grade Frolics to see all the Monday Made Its.   My first Made It screams sUmMeR! My little sass has been selling lemonade for extra money for the past couple of months.  She LOVEs it and works very hard at it so my friend decided to make her a lemonade stand from an old fence wood. Seriously, how could you not stop and buy lemonade.   The sign at the top was made with chalkboard spray paint. Super cool and it was only 3 dollars at Wal-mart.  I'm currently making a list of all the things I want to spray around my house. ;-) The chalkboard makes it easy for her to change it from Lemonade in the Summer to Hot Cocoa in the winter.  This past weekend she was selling old clothes, shoes, and bags so her sign said "Jen's Lemonade and Boutique".  {first customer}  ...
