Gingerbread Everything and FREEBIE for this week ONLY

We decided to make Gingerbread men but our cookies will be have decided to leave our school.  Our Gingerbread men will be traveling all the way to Rockwall, Texas to Mrs. Beasley's class. In order for her students to determine whose cookie belongs to whom we must pay attention to the details as we write to her class describing our Gingerbread.  We reviewed adjectives to make sure that we write using words that will create a clear, picture in our reader's mind.
Look at these little cuties!!  There's not a doubt in my mind that their writing will be just a creative and detailed.  We will be writing tomorrow.  EEEKK!

Before math today we read The Gingerbread Baby and discussed the kind of Gingerbread house we would create for him.  The only problem was they had to use base 10 blocks AND they had to be able to tell the NUMBER that they used.  Look at some of these super cute homes for the baby.

A little math fun for everyone has kept us busy this week too.

You can pick these up this week for FREE at my tpt store.

First Linky!!! Monday Made It.....

Well, this is my. very. first. linky. linkup. (GASP!)  It took my friend Michelle  to explain this to me.  really?! .......I was just kinda afraid I'd mess something up. BUT now that I've explained that this is my first time, I'm sure y'all will be forgiving.  right?  Obviously, I have been busy crafting but nothing for my classroom (soon....very soon, I will) so I thought, what a perfect linky to begin with.  I'm linking up with  Tara at 4th Grade Frolic This little craft is bitter sweet.  My lil' sass and I transformed her Disney Princess toy box (once again, i feel the need to explain our floor renovations....please excuse our mess) into a big girl storage chest.  A friend bought me some contact paper from TJ Max and that is what I used to cover the lid.  She LOVES it!   Okay in other news, our swimming pool motor blew up (smoke and all) on the very first Saturday we were out of school.  Geeezz!!--and it took a WHOLE week for the new motor to

Made It Monday

Well, I think I have completely settled into my summer.  I know this because once I get settled I start summer crafting, pinning, and looking forward to Stop by 4th Grade Frolics to see all the Monday Made Its.   My first Made It screams sUmMeR! My little sass has been selling lemonade for extra money for the past couple of months.  She LOVEs it and works very hard at it so my friend decided to make her a lemonade stand from an old fence wood. Seriously, how could you not stop and buy lemonade.   The sign at the top was made with chalkboard spray paint. Super cool and it was only 3 dollars at Wal-mart.  I'm currently making a list of all the things I want to spray around my house. ;-) The chalkboard makes it easy for her to change it from Lemonade in the Summer to Hot Cocoa in the winter.  This past weekend she was selling old clothes, shoes, and bags so her sign said "Jen's Lemonade and Boutique".  {first customer}  No, technically I didn'
