When Your Birthday Is GUCCI

I'm sure everyone knows how much I LOVE this guy right here.

Yea, he's pretty great! So I wanted to make sure that I got him an extra special birthday gift. He hasn't had new cologne in yeeeeeaaarrss. So I thought he'd probably LOVE some new cologne. His favorite cologne is Gucci Guilty.

If you know him then you know he's not ALL FANCY and he probably wouldn't want me to share that his favorite cologne is Gucci. But it is.

So I'm super excited for him to open his gift. He opens his gift before school and is thrilled. He takes it out the box and it looks like this...

He laughed and said "this looks different than what I remember and well, the gold, that's a little over the top". It was really GOLD and wherever you touched it you would leave finger smudges. He did several spritzes and then a few more for good measure.

After a few minutes he came in to tell me that he googled women's gucci guilty because he smells to "florally". Guess what google showed him....

So for Josh's birthday I got myself some new perfume. It smells great! I wonder if he'll get me some men's cologne for my birthday??

As part of his birthday weekend we thought an overnight camping trip would be fun. You can imagine Josh's surprise when I woke him up this morning freaking out because Bean and I saw a wild hog right outside our campsite...

If you look through Bean's amazing ears you can see it.

I cannot believe this....I've never seen a wild hog. Especially one this big!!! After I woke Josh up to go with us I noticed my wild hog looks an awful lot like a COW!

What is a cow doing in our campsite?? Well, that's kinda funny. I hope you had a wonderful birthday weekend honey!

I Monday MADE IT!!

Hi Sweet and Sassy Friends!! I have some fun pictures of some things that I have made just in time for school to start and Monday Made It. {insert cheering and clapping} Okay, first.......I didn't actually make the bench BUT I did repaint it and get it classroom ready. That should totally count and the fact that I nearly took out the neighbor's window during the process. {if your my neighbor reading this--I'm sorry and it's okay} Here is the before: {donated by a dear friend-LOVE her} I need you to picture this: I'm on my front porch with the lid of the bench resting nicely on the back of the bench (easier for sanding). I'm using a handy-dandy electric sander. Super powerful. I place the sander on the lid and push the button..........OH. MY. WORD. the board shoots across the yard towards the neighbors window. YIKES!! A little embarressing but no one saw, so I pick it up bring it back and this time I hang on to it....

These summer Fridays are coming and going a little too fast. I met with some of my teamies this week. Actually, it was 1st and 2nd grade......it's always nice to catch up and share ideas. We ate, talked, ate, stressed, laughed, and talked some more. Loved it! A get together just doesn't seem appropriate without a little back to school goodie, right?! And who doesn't LOVE some Bath and Body lotion??!! What happens when we give kids the chance to share something important to them? This is one of the many things that I loved about Capturing Kids Hearts from Royse City. I completely understand the importance of giving the kids the opportunity to share something good for a multitude of reason but I also know it takes time. Guess what? I found a way for the kids to share their "good things" first thing in the morning. We call it our Daily News and we do it on a padlet wall with our ipads. Have you heard of Padlet?
