Super LOVE

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this little girl!!--and this weekend she will be turning 9!!!  Oh goodness.  She has also informed me that this is her "last one digit year".  What?!  I never really thought of that, thanks sass for keeping me on my toes. :)  So, to celebrate her birthday, her grandparents came to town last weekend and we took her to the American Girl store and Bistro.   She said she wanted to do this rather than have a big party with a bunch of friends.  Now, I'm thinking a BIG PARTY and LOTS of friends might have worked out financially better for us.  ha!!  We had so much fun!!  I LOVED watching her face light up, her tiny voice squeal, and watching her run from one thing to another.  They had a salon for the dolls?!!!? What?!! and They brought drinks out for the doll?!!!??  Seriously!!  She said it was her best birthday EVER.  After all of that I feel like we have adopted a new member to our family.  :) This is definitely a week filled with LOVE

Surviving the 100th Day of School...

Oh. My. Word.....What a day!  I'm not sure what was crazier my day at school or coming home to a German Shephard Zoo! (we are puppy sitting-but we have a very small backyard with a pool and neither one of the puppies know how to find the steps so, keeping them outside is NOT an option)  In the meantime, they are chasing each other through my very small house, knocking lamps off tables, pictures off shelves, and they sound as though there are 20 of them rather than 2.  Oh and did I mention the daddy German Shephard is here, and a little Yorkie that is trying to play chase with the other 2 dogs...IN THE HOUSE.  Okay, home wins!!---It's crazier at home. 100 days in 2nd grade has flown by this year!  Where did the time go??   Last year I purchased Lesson Plans SOS , Surviving the 100th day of School and did those activities.  This year, we created our own activities but still used the theme.  We dressed in camo and the kids separated into tribes.  They made flags for their t

Hi Sweet Friends!!  I have soooo much to do today but instead of working on things that I should be doing I've decided to blog. {very responsible} Plus, I'm super duper sore from all the playing I did yesterday.  {embarressing} It was a BEEEEAUTIFUL day yesterday, so we spent a LOT of time outside.  We played lots of basketball (at the park -- we can save the trash can for another day) and LOTS of Australian 4 square. -- My sweet honey got so excited as we played, he started remembering all his playground days.  I'm not sure why after 12 years of being married I'm just now learning Australian 4 square BUT we all loved it!  Of course, he's the only one from Australia so he could tell us anything and we'd believe it. ;) (for instance, he is ALL TIME Ace??....that sounds kinda funny to me, haha!)  Okay, the reason I'm blogging today...........I wanted to share this little activity pack that  I just finished using in the classroom this week.  I'd LOVE for

Random Ramblings and a Dictionary {Freebie}

This has been the loooonnngggeessstt week E.VER!  I'm so happy that it's over.  You would have thought that I would have partied ALL night and slept in on Sat.  No, I fell asleep at 8:30 and woke up at 5:00 a.m.  BOO!  No partying for me, little Sass and I finished our evening with a quick game of basketball in our driveway.  If you have ever wondered what to do if you don't have a goal..... This is something that she has just started showing some interest in and created her own goal in the driveway.  LOVE it.  She is so creative!  {this is/was not used for trash-that would be gross and not creative}  Can I get whoop! whoop! for room moms???  Look at our published writer's wall!!!!...... Beautiful, huh?  Well, I basically told her that I wanted a ROCKSTAR theme and the ability to hang 20 writing pieces at a time.  She did a fabulous job.  LOVE her!!  Each one of our 2nd grade classes will pick 4 writers that have published a piece and are ready to share wi
