...Florida Here I Come!!

Oh me. Oh my. I am getting so excited. I'm excited to see my big baby.....which I should share some pics that he has shared with me since he left 2 weeks ago.   Uh huh. 2....yes, TWO pictures from this kid. Really?! Momma cannot do just 2 pictures. And only one of them is actually of him. In the meantime, my little sassy pants takes more pictures in a day than I have taken of her in her entire 9 years of life. Out of 30 pictures a day of what she is looking at, eating, thinking about, and dreaming of; 20 pictures are selfies. ;) <- no, she's not out of town.....just likes pictures. She does LOVE t.v. I guess, but she we did spend a few days at art camp. She is a creative little girl. Love, love, love her. I've had a very laid back, lazy start to summer so far. Mr. Sweet and I celebrated our 12 year anny. We had a fun filled night. We always do, though. He makes me laugh. We had some free tickets to the Dallas Museum of Arts event

Do You Know Billy Snow???

Well, do you?  He is the superintendent in Mansfield and he led our training on Monday and will lead another one on Friday.  He has a lot of energy and I have truly enjoyed his passion for the kids.  Our school will be modeling Mansfield's schedule for next year.  Mr. Snow has shared success stories from his campus and the previous schools that he has been a principal. The schedule has an hour built-in intervention time and then everything else is scheduled around that time.  During the intervention time the kids not needing RTI will work on Think Tanks.  Think Tanks.  Now, I haven't seen these, I'm not even really sure what they are, but the kids will work independently on these tanks for about 3-4 days.  Intrigued??  Me too.  The make-&-take and training will be this Friday...so unless you have info to share with me, then you will stay in suspense until after I have been trained.  I'm looking forward to making, taking, and sharing!! That's the extent of my

Goodbye Classroom.......Hello Summer

I wasn't sure if I was going to survive the end......it seemed to come so fast and then so much to do!!  I was originally supposed to move my room, after packing a few boxes plans changed.  So, I packed, unpacked, stuffed (I'm going to regret this in August), trashed (not enough stuff), and shared as much as I could.   I spent a lot of time (too much) trying to decide my end of year gifts or keepsakes for the kids.  Finally I decided on a letter to each student and a picture with me.  I think they turned out summer cute and I didn't break the bank. They kids really liked them too.  It makes my heart happy when they tell me how much they love things that I pour my heart into. We finally finished our novel unit Roxie and the Hooligans.  Our week long unit became two weeks because of assemblies and last minute changes of our schedules. {click here } BUT I LOVE how this turned out.  The kids loved it and we had fantastic conversations a
