...Florida Here I Come!!

Oh me. Oh my. I am getting so excited. I'm excited to see my big baby.....which I should share some pics that he has shared with me since he left 2 weeks ago.

Uh huh. 2....yes, TWO pictures from this kid. Really?! Momma cannot do just 2 pictures. And only one of them is actually of him. In the meantime, my little sassy pants takes more pictures in a day than I have taken of her in her entire 9 years of life. Out of 30 pictures a day of what she is looking at, eating, thinking about, and dreaming of; 20 pictures are selfies. ;) <- no, she's not out of town.....just likes pictures.

She does LOVE t.v. I guess, but she we did spend a few days at art camp. She is a creative little girl. Love, love, love her.

I've had a very laid back, lazy start to summer so far. Mr. Sweet and I celebrated our 12 year anny. We had a fun filled night. We always do, though. He makes me laugh. We had some free tickets to the Dallas Museum of Arts event called Beautiful Bodies. Neither one of us we were really sure what it was BUT it was free and we hadn't ever been. That's kind of our anniversary rules, eat at a new place or go somewhere we have never been. We did both!

Yes, I am extremely immature and it was hard to seriously look at all these nude statues with other people being so serious about it. I'm obviously not very cultured.

I sure do love this guy. He makes me laugh and smile a lot. I can't wait to spend the next week in Floriday with him.

School?.....I have started my classroom theme for next year...yay! for me. I'm going with a gumball theme. I will share that when I get back from Florida....it's still in the works.

I've also been working on think tanks for next year. I know I had mentioned these in a previous blog and I really want to share them but right now, it's all based on what I received from 2 trainings and what I think it should look like and mine have NOT been kid tested.....yet. :) These are intended for the kids to work on independently while I am doing interventions. I'm excited about implementing these but I'm a little nervous about the organization and running of these since I've never done it......I will definitely share how it goes.

A New Year...

I cannot believe we are ending 2014 and beginning a new year. I'm anxious, excited, nervous, scared.... Freaking OUT . <-not really. 2015 is going to bring so many new changes whether I am ready for them or not, so I guess I better get ready. This new year will bring my baby's graduation and life as a college student. Wha?! His heart is set on USAFA and we should hear from them in January. He is seriously marking off the days on his calendar. He has also been offered a paid visit to West Point Academy in New York and will fly out to visit them in March. I think the key word right now is PATIENCE. He's put in all the work and now he has to be patient. {I have to be patient} I obviously love pictures more than him. I feel like that will be my mantra for the 2015 year. {PATIENCE} I plan to finish my masters this spring. {patience} I have one more class and my ARP to complete. Speed Dating or 2nd Grade Letter Writing

Well friends, I understand the confusion. I've never been apart of speed dating but I imagine it just like the letters of these 2nd grade students. (sorry for the bad pics...that's kinda how I roll) Ya'll these crack me up. I picture these being read without coming up for breath until you get to the last line -which is the same pic ture I get in my head of someone speed dating. Day 7 Disneyland in a Day

Okay moms, let’s talk about Disney. I’m going to be real honest with you. The notebooks you create and the maps you print out, the discounts and packages and clubs and bracelets and t-shirts and rewards make me sweat. I seriously get overwhelmed and want nothing to do with this place OR maybe I’m just jealous that you’ve figured out the ins and outs of Disney. I’m simple. I like simple and we just kept it really simple. Our plan was to spend ONE day in Disneyland on a tight budget and have the most magical time ever. We woke up a 4:30 a.m.—we were a little excited and needed about an hour drive time to get through LA traffic. We made it to the gates before they opened and just stood there to take in the excitement of just being at the most magical place earth.
