In the beginning....

Can I just say how much I LOVE looking at pics of classrooms?  Ha!!  I get all giddy and excited.  I'm so impressed with all the amazing teachers and ideas out there.  I'm headed back to school today to try to pull the classroom together.

(you will be happy to know that I have upgraded and my pics will no longer have that annoying watermark on the bottom :)

So here is my blank slate I'm working with.  We had to take everything off the walls so that they could paint but if you notice in the pic on the right...the wall is still yucky.  They must have forgot about me, oh well, nothing a little paper can't fix.  I can't wait to share pics of the progress that I make.

Good Things

What happens when we give kids the chance to share something important to them?  This is one of the many things that I loved about Capturing Kids Hearts from Royse City.  I completely understand the importance of giving the kids the opportunity to share something good for a multitude of reason but I also know it takes time.  Guess what?  I found a way for the kids to share their "good things" first thing in the morning.  We call it our Daily News and we do it on a padlet wall with our ipads. All you need to do is set up an account.  You can go here to create your own. Each morning I open a new padlet wall, super easy.  Scan the QR code with a few ipads.  The QR code is on the right side when you click the share button.  The kids are now re...

A New Year...

I cannot believe we are ending 2014 and beginning a new year. I'm anxious, excited, nervous, scared.... Freaking OUT . <-not really. 2015 is going to bring so many new changes whether I am ready for them or not, so I guess I better get ready.   This new year will bring my baby's graduation and life as a college student. Wha?!  His heart  is set on USAFA and we should hear from them in January. He is seriously marking off the days on his calendar.  He has also been offered a paid visit to West Point Academy in New York and will fly out to visit them in March.  I think the key word right now is PATIENCE.  He's put in all the work and now he has to be patient. {I have to be patient} I obviously love pictures more than him. I feel like that will be my mantra for the 2015 year.  {PATIENCE}  I plan to finish my masters this spring. {patience} I have one more class and my ARP to complete.  Oh, and there is this big test that 4th gra...

These summer Fridays are coming and going a little too fast.  I met with some of my teamies this week.  Actually, it was 1st and 2nd grade......it's always nice to catch up and  share ideas.   We ate, talked, ate, stressed, laughed, and talked some more.  Loved it! A get together just doesn't seem appropriate without a little back to school goodie, right?!  And who doesn't LOVE some Bath and Body lotion??!! If you need to throw together a quick little gift please feel free to use these tags. { click here } Hop over to TBA to check out other { FREEBIES } this Friday. Have a SWEET day, friends!!
