Linky LOVE a Lil' Late...

Gosh!!  A day late......REALY?!, I'm sorry but I wanted to link up with Smitten with First to share my loves for this week but we will need to change it to Friday Love-day.
Ok, well I'm sure by now everyone is tired of hearing about my floors BUT seriously, I LOVE them and we did them ourselves.  It was haaaarrrrrdddd work. So I'm  loving ....
my floors.  Aren't they cool?!?  It is actually tile.
Okay the next thing I'm loving is......

SCRAPBOOK PAPER!!  I don't love this because I scrapbook because I don't.  I LOVE them because it is soooooo CUTE!  I love to use scrapbook paper to frame kids work or to cut letters from the die cut machine.  I laminate a class set and put them on my cabinets and in the hallway to display my kiddos work.

This is so much easier than to redo an entire bulletin board (which I'm over).  I use to LOVE bulletin boards........but after years of teaching my passion for changing my bulletin board out every month started to die. (I know.....kinda sad)  But I do LOVE to display the kids work and I really like how it looks on top of scrapbook paper.
This is some of my lil' sass'
work to for an example.  I'll post classroom pics once we get back in there.  Okay, so that's some of my LOVES this week.

I Monday MADE IT!!

Hi Sweet and Sassy Friends!!  I have some fun pictures of some things that I have made just in time for school to start and Monday Made It.  {insert cheering and clapping} Okay, first.......I didn't actually make the bench BUT I did repaint it and get it classroom ready.  That should totally count and the fact that I nearly took out the neighbor's window during the process.  {if your my neighbor reading this--I'm sorry and it's okay} Here is the before: {donated by a dear friend-LOVE her} I need you to picture this:  I'm on my front porch with the lid of the bench resting nicely on the back of the bench (easier for sanding).  I'm using a handy-dandy electric sander.  Super powerful.  I place the sander on the lid and push the button..........OH. MY. WORD. the board shoots across the yard towards the neighbors window. YIKES!!  A little embarressing but no one saw, so I pick it up bring it back and this time I hang on to it....

If you need to throw together a quick little gift please feel free to use these tags. { click here } Hop over to TBA to check out other { FREEBIES } this Friday. Have a SWEET day, friends!!

Good Things

What happens when we give kids the chance to share something important to them?  This is one of the many things that I loved about Capturing Kids Hearts from Royse City.  I completely understand the importance of giving the kids the opportunity to share something good for a multitude of reason but I also know it takes time.  Guess what?  I found a way for the kids to share their "good things" first thing in the morning.  We call it our Daily News and we do it on a padlet wall with our ipads. Have you heard of Padlet? We call it our Daily News but it's done on the iPads and is immediately projected onto our whiteboard to read throughout the day.  And it is FREE!! All you need to do is set up an account.  You can go here to create your own. Each morning I open a new padlet wall, super easy.  Scan the QR code with a few ipads.  The QR code is on the right side when you click the share button.  The kids are now re...
