Treats for My Sweets...

Well, it's another Monday and I'm linking up with Tara for her Monday Made It Linky.

She always has so many fabulous teachers sharing fun ideas.  My first inspiration came from Run!Mrs. Nelson's Got the Camera.  She posted a list of rewards and incentives she uses in the classroom and I LOVED her idea for a treat tree.  I haven't decided yet if I would like to use it for 100's on spelling tests or meeting an AR goal.  I should probably work that out soon.
"Sweet Treats for you and me..."
Earlier this week I linked up with Teaching in Room 6  to share my behavior chart.  I finally finished putting mine together and I found the cutest little clothespins.

You can get my Behavior that Makes Cents at my TPT store if you would like to use it.  I cannot even imagine charging for any of the things that I make right now.  I am truly a newb at this, so until I feel like I have something worth selling all my things are free. ;)

Finally, my last little craft for the week.  I cannot remember where in the world I saw this idea but........I LOVED it and have been keeping detergent scoops ever since.

We've saved milk tops and picked out some princess flowers to plant.  I thought these would be fun for the kids at school to make when we learn about plants.  Okay, first we hot glued (only a crafter's kid can get away with this) :/  the lids to each side of the scooper.
Then, we filled the scooper up with potting soil and planted our Cosmos.  Lil' Sass decided that we needed a sign so everyone would know what we are growing.  The finished product looks like a sweet little wheel barrow.
Good night, bloggy friends!

I Monday MADE IT!!

Hi Sweet and Sassy Friends!!  I have some fun pictures of some things that I have made just in time for school to start and Monday Made It.  {insert cheering and clapping} Okay, first.......I didn't actually make the bench BUT I did repaint it and get it classroom ready.  That should totally count and the fact that I nearly took out the neighbor's window during the process.  {if your my neighbor reading this--I'm sorry and it's okay} Here is the before: {donated by a dear friend-LOVE her} I need you to picture this:  I'm on my front porch with the lid of the bench resting nicely on the back of the bench (easier for sanding).  I'm using a handy-dandy electric sander.  Super powerful.  I place the sander on the lid and push the button..........OH. MY. WORD. the board shoots across the yard towards the neighbors window. YIKES!!  A little embarressing but no one saw, so I pick it up bring it back and this time I hang on to it....

{FREEBIE} Friday!

These summer Fridays are coming and going a little too fast.  I met with some of my teamies this week.  Actually, it was 1st and 2nd grade......it's always nice to catch up and  share ideas.   We ate, talked, ate, stressed, laughed, and talked some more.  Loved it! A get together just doesn't seem appropriate without a little back to school goodie, right?!  And who doesn't LOVE some Bath and Body lotion??!! If you need to throw together a quick little gift please feel free to use these tags. { click here } Hop over to TBA to check out other { FREEBIES } this Friday. Have a SWEET day, friends!!

All Things Techy...and FREE

Well ya'll, I have so many wonderful things going on in the classroom and it's all things techy.  I cannot wait to share a few of them with you.   If you haven't stopped by our class blog then you should.     { Mrs. Kirby's Kid's Blog } These authentic pieces of writing just make me so stinkin' happy.  I constantly check my email throughout the weekend to see if they have written anything.  Not because I told them to but because they want to. (insert happy teacher dance right here)  I took my very first student bloggers to the school board and they told our school board what a blog is and why they think it's important.  I gave each one of the kids that presented a small journal, sticky notes and pens to write their ideas about things they'd like to blog about.  This is what their journals look like 2 days later.... These kids cannot get enough!!  Look at all their THOUGHTS... BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE!   Look at...
